After years of working in healthcare as a Registered Nurse and in a senior Management Team, I noticed a recurring gap in the system: while many services were available, there was a lack of personalized, empathetic care that truly met the unique needs of individuals with disabilities. I had seen first-hand how challenging it could be for families to navigate the complex world of healthcare and support services. There were too many barriers—confusing processes, long wait times, and sometimes, a lack of genuine understanding of the needs of people with disabilities.

But that gap became an opportunity—an opportunity to make a difference.

With a deep passion for helping others and a growing desire to create something meaningful, I took the leap and decided to start my own NDIS business. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was a transformative program, designed to empower individuals with disabilities by providing them with the support they needed to live more independently. However, it still lacked providers who could offer truly personalized, compassionate, and reliable services.

So, I founded Mitra HealthCare with the vision of filling that void. I wanted to create a space where people weren’t just another case or number—they were seen, heard, and treated with the dignity they deserved. I envisioned a service provider that could offer tailored, high-quality services that addressed not only the physical but also the emotional needs of individuals living with disabilities.

Every client’s journey is unique, and so I built my business around a deep understanding of that.
